A Day of Prayer & Fasting

We would like to ask everyone to join us and thousands of other believers across our country for a day of prayer and fasting this Saturday, April 4th

The day will be divided into three different prayer times. The attached prayer booklet will guide you through each prayer time.

First, a morning prayer. We would like to encourage you to spend the morning in personal prayer, based on Psalm 27.

Second, a midday prayer. We hope you will spend this time praying with others in our community, whether it’s your family around the kitchen table, or maybe your community group or DNA group or friends on a video call.

Third, an evening prayer. On Saturday evening at 5:00 pm, we will gather online with believers from across the world. During this time, various brothers and sisters, pastors and other ministry leaders, as well as musicians, will help guide a 1-hour time of prayer. We can join them on Facebook Live, YouTube Live or on the Gospel Coalition website. Click here to find the prayer booklet to guide you through the day including the links to these sites.

We pray because we trust what the Psalmist says in Psalm 10:17, “O Lord, you hear the desire of the afflicted; you will strengthen their heart; you will incline your ear.” We pray because, as Paul says in Philippians 4:6, we should not be anxious about anything, “but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.”

Let’s set aside Saturday as a day for prayer and fasting. Of course, if you can’t fast for any reason, please still join us in prayer.
